Our Response
When we receive a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the material in question and make a reasonable effort to notify the affected user. We may terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
Counter-Notice
If you believe your material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to our designated agent that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your judicial district (or, if you are outside the U.S., the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan), and that you will accept service of process from the party who filed the original notice.
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant files a court action seeking to restrain the activity.
