Switching from Bricqer to BrickPulse

A step-by-step guide to moving your shop from Bricqer to BrickPulse, including what to export before you cancel.

Bricqer is cloud software that treats itself as the master inventory, pushing changes out to the marketplaces you connect. BrickPulse works the same way in principle: its own database is the master, and it ingests your BrickLink store directly. Because both tools center on BrickLink, moving between them mostly comes down to sequencing: export what you need, hand control of your live stores to one tool at a time, then let BrickPulse take over.

Before you cancel: export your data

Bricqer’s documentation states that a cancelled account, and its data, is permanently deleted 30 days after cancellation. Before you cancel (or before that window closes if you already have), export what you want to keep from the Tools menu on Bricqer’s Inventory and Orders screens:

  • The unconsolidated inventory export. This is the one that includes Purchase ID, description, contact, and Batch ID, which is effectively your purchase-history and cost data. The consolidated export doesn’t carry this, so choose unconsolidated.
  • Your orders and invoices, if you want an offline archive beyond what BrickPulse imports automatically.

If you’re on Bricqer’s commission pricing (billed monthly, a percentage of sold items with a monthly minimum), cancellation itself is a monthly action, but the data-deletion clock starts from when you cancel, not from your next invoice date. Export first.

Step-by-step switch

  1. Export your data from Bricqer, as above.
  2. Disable Bricqer’s sync, or revoke the BrickLink and BrickOwl API keys it holds. Bricqer’s documentation doesn’t state what happens to your live listings when you cancel, so treat this as the safety step: with only one tool holding valid API keys at a time, nothing can fight over your live stores.
  3. Connect BrickPulse to your channels in Settings → Channels: BrickLink, BrickOwl, and eBay if you sell there. (Bricqer also supports BrickScout, Bol.com, WooCommerce, and Shopify; BrickPulse currently syncs BrickLink, BrickOwl, and eBay.)
  4. Let the first sync run. BrickPulse pulls in your BrickLink inventory and recent orders.
  5. Verify the counts match your Bricqer numbers, and check Reconcile → Unmatched for anything that didn’t match automatically.
  6. Set up pricing and preferences, rebuilding any pricing formulas as BrickPulse pricing rules.

What carries over automatically

  • Your BrickLink inventory, ingested directly from your BrickLink store.
  • Bin/location codes, since both tools rely on the BrickLink Remarks field for storage locations.
  • Recent marketplace orders, synced in on connection.

What doesn’t carry over

  • Purchase and cost history. BrickPulse has no way to see what Bricqer recorded as your acquisition costs unless you export it first. If you want that history in BrickPulse, export the unconsolidated inventory (with Purchase ID and Batch ID) and re-enter it as batches with unit costs in Purchases/Batches intake. This is a manual step, there’s no automated import path today.
  • Very old order history. BrickPulse ingests a recent window of orders from each channel. If you want a full historical archive, export it from Bricqer (or from the marketplaces directly) before you close your Bricqer account.

Will my live BrickLink or BrickOwl listings be affected?

Connecting BrickPulse doesn't change your live listings by itself. The risk is two tools pushing to the same store at once, which is why the steps below have you disable Bricqer's sync before you connect BrickPulse.

Do I lose my storage bin locations?

No. Both tools use the BrickLink Remarks field to store bin/location codes on each lot, so locations carry over when BrickPulse ingests your BrickLink inventory. Bricqer's UI shows this as a "(remark)" label; we haven't found Bricqer documentation that spells this out explicitly, but it lines up with what we observed.

What happens to my Bricqer account if I don't export first?

Bricqer's own account-cancellation terms say a cancelled account and its data are permanently deleted 30 days after cancellation. Export anything you want to keep, including purchase and cost history, before that window closes.

Can I bring my Bricqer purchase costs (COGS) into BrickPulse?

Yes, but it's a manual step. Export your unconsolidated inventory from Bricqer (it includes Purchase ID, description, contact, and Batch ID), then re-enter those costs as batches with unit costs in BrickPulse's Purchases/Batches intake.
